A drawer for the glasses, the charger and the pen, an open shelf for books, a top for the lamp. The drawer runs on wooden runners with no metal slide, so it is quiet and it is also slightly stiff in damp weather and slightly loose in dry.
The drawer front is cut from the same board as the sides, so the grain runs round the corner.
