The cover is crocheted by hand from thick cotton rope and pulled over a foam drum, so the texture is the whole point. The rope supplier is changing the twist next year and the current rope is being used up; this pouf is reduced until it is gone. The higher price is the one we charged for at least 30 consecutive days in the last six months.
Crochet stretches. It is tight when it arrives and relaxes over a few weeks to fit the drum; after that it stays.
