Sold in pairs because nobody needs one. The filling is wool batting quilted in lines so it cannot bunch, 5 cm thick, which is enough to make the woven stool comfortable for an evening and not so thick that you sit above the table.
The ties are cotton tape and they fray at the ends over time; that is the cotton, and a dab of clear nail varnish stops it.
