Two loose cushions on a bare oak frame. The chair that goes with the oak frame sofa, and the one most people buy on its own.
Measurements are for the first option. “Door” is the narrowest side, which is what passes a door frame. How to check access.
Choose an option first.
An armchair reduced to a frame and two cushions. The frame is cut from 40 mm oak with through-tenons you can see on the outside of the arms; the cushions sit in it on webbing and lift straight out. It weighs seventeen kilos and one person can carry it up stairs.
The seat is a little low and leans back a little, which makes it a reading chair rather than a dining chair. People who like to perch forward will find it tips them back.

I measured the door against the number on the page and it went through on its side with four centimetres to spare, exactly as promised. The two delivery men were polite and quick.
The linen creases, as the page said it would. I have stopped noticing. What I notice is that the seat has not sagged at all in fourteen months.
Firmer than it looks and the oak has gone a shade darker already. Both of those were written in the list under Before you buy, which I read after it arrived. Read it before.

The width option changes the price shown; depth and height stay the same.
Natural oak is pale gold and darkens to amber. Smoked oak is fumed to a deep brown and stays there. Ash is the palest of the three and goes to honey. All are oiled, none lacquered.
Lamp shades are hand-rolled linen in natural, charcoal or ochre. Upholstery colours are chosen with the swatches above; samples of any fabric are free by email.
