The daybed is a single bed frame with one long side open and three loose cushions against the wall side. The mattress is a real pocket-sprung one, not a foam pad, so a guest sleeps on it for a week without complaint. During the day the cushions turn it into a long, low sofa.
It comes flat in two boxes and bolts together in twenty minutes. The 120 cm version is wide enough for two to lie on and too deep to sit on with your feet on the floor.

The things about this piece and its materials that people most often wish they had known first.
- The 90 cm version sits like a sofa; the 120 cm version is a bed with cushions and most people sit sideways on it
- Back cushions are loose and need the wall or a frame behind them
- Linen mattress cover unzips and washes; the mattress itself does not
- Oak darkens in sun, and the side facing the window darkens faster
- Slats are beech and flex a little under weight; that is normal
